It is important to get to know your heat press. What may initially seem like a fault can often be resolved with a few simple button presses. Here we go through two common issues that you can easily fix yourself:
If the Hot 2000 does not start
If your Hot 2000 does not start as usual, begin by checking that the machine is switched on. Also make sure that the power switch on the back is set to position 1. If the indicator light on the power switch or the display does not turn on, check that there is power in the outlet.

Next, check that the emergency stop button is not activated (pressed down). If it is, switch off your Hot 2000, pull up the emergency stop button, and then restart the machine.

If the heating platen does not move down
If the heating platen on your Hot 2000 does not move down when using the heat press, start by checking that compressed air from your compressor is reaching the heat press. Then take a look at the pressure setting:
1. The pressure gauge shows the current pressure.
2. Make sure the regulator is not closed – if it is, pull up the regulator and turn it clockwise to increase the pressure.
Clockwise = increases pressure
Counter-clockwise = decreases pressure
